What is JUPEB?
Jupeb which stands for Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board.
This Jupeb Programme originated as a result of different Universities coming together to create an alternative means of tertiary admission for secondary school leavers without JAMB.
JUPEB serves as another competent and reliable means of gaining direct entry admission into Universities in Nigeria.
The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a national examinations body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013. It was formally established in April 2014 by a consortium often (10) partnering universities led by the University of Lagos.
JUPEB Programme is Approved:
The programme as earlier stated is approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a platform for 200lv admission into Nigerian universities without JAMB.
• JUPEB is Proven:
JUPEB Programme has proven to bea good alternative of Gaining Admission into Nigerian universities. Yearly, more than 20,000 students register for jupeb programme and more than 70% of them successfully secure admission with the certificate to their preferred university and desired course of study.
• JUPEB Programme is Certified:
The Nigeria University Commission (NUC) has certified the programme as an advanced level examination programmethat qualifies students into 200level without JAMB UTME
How Jupeb Works
Prospective JUPEB candidates are required to select any THREE (3) A/L JUPEB Subject Combination plus General studies (English Language) identified with their preferred course of study in the university be it Science, Art or Social Science Course.
Candidates would undergo lectures for 9-10 months after then they will sit for the Jupeb exam
Interested JUPEB candidates are expected to select any three (3) subjects that are related to their choice of study in the university. Candidates would then be lectured on the three subjects for a period of 9months. After the 9months candidates would then sit for an exam and would be awarded points.
The points given are: A=5 points, B=4 points, C=3 points, D=2 points, E=1 point, F=0 point.
JUPEB PROGRAMME DURATION:
The programme runs for a maximum period of one academic session (10month). The session is divided in two(2) semesters. Academic activities in all our IJMB Study centres begins every April and runs till February. The examination is conducted February/march yearly.
How To Make Use Of Your JUPEB Result
Candidates who wish to make use of their JUPEB certificate for admission into 200 Level are required to visit JAMB website or their nearest office to obtain direct entry (D.E) form, fill them in correlation with your IJMB result, and then submit a copy online and at JAMB office.
Just before You Start the JUPEB 2018/2019 Registration
Before going to register at our centre, we implore candidates to read more about IJMB and also check the subject combination for their courses. If this step is not taken seriously, it can be a major problem during Admission processing into your preferred university.
Bearing in mind that IJMB form is still on sale, we want to also inform you that about 70% of Nigerian universities accepts IJMB as a requirement for admission into 200lv without JAMB. Prospective students who wish to register should also note that students are allowed to make payments on installment following the schedule of payment for all students. The schedule for JUPEB school fee is meant to be taken seriously.
How to go about JUPEB 2018/2019 Registration
There are two ways to go about the registration:
Candidates can go ahead to our Registration centres in the different parts of the country to obtain the form.
The second way is to register through our Registration Portal.
N.B: Candidates are to note that the official fee for JUPEB 2018/2019 Registration is #10,000.
